Global Gossip
On Christmas day, 1997, Global Gossip opened its first Internet Café on George Street in Sydney. Its goal? To provide a communication centre for travellers to send emails and make phonecalls. As the tourism boom hit Australia, Global Gossip retail stores began to open up and down the East coast, quickly becoming a household name with tech-savvy travellers from around the world.
In 2005, Global Gossip expanded its reach to travellers by launching ‘Global Gossip Connect’. The concept was simple: install Global Gossip PC’s into hostels, hotels and retail outlets across the world. The concept took off and today, Global Gossip has over 1750 PC’s and wireless solutions across Australia, New Zealand, The Pacific and Europe. These provide travellers with everything they need to communicate, including the latest versions of the most popular video chat software and the ability to burn travel pictures and videos onto CD.
